2026Romania's plant protection registry, offline, on the phone.
FitoNova puts Romania's national plant protection product registry in a farmer's pocket. Search by product, crop or active substance, keep a spraying journal with PDF export, get an alert when a product is withdrawn, and work out doses, all of it without a signal. Around the app we also built the fitonova.ro website, an admin panel and the ordering flow companies use.

The problem
The official registry lives on an ageing government site, and it is hardest to reach exactly where the decision gets made: out in the field, in the vineyard, in the polytunnel, where there is often no coverage.
On top of that, more than half of the registered products are no longer authorised, while their names are still on warehouse shelves and old printed lists. Working from paper, you cannot see what changed.
What we built
Mobile app
A Flutter app, one codebase for Android and iOS, that works offline after the first download: search by product, active substance, crop, disease or pest, full product sheets, a spraying journal with PDF and Excel export, a dose calculator and alerts about withdrawn products.
Website
fitonova.ro, the marketing and legal site: static, fast and in three languages, with no framework and no external requests. Live since August 2026.
Admin panel
A browser based panel for running company orders: send the proforma, mark it paid, and the invoice and the activation codes go out from there.
Company ordering
Companies order straight from the site. The form is followed by an email confirmation, then a bank transfer and an invoice, with one single use activation code per employee.
